All sample translations are carefully checked by our trusted proof-readers whose mother tongue is the target language of the translation.
Verification covers:

- Formatting
If the candidate receives ‘0’ marks in any of the above categories, their translation is disqualified.
You can re-apply 6 months after carrying out the previous sample translation for us.
Stage 5: Sending the results off and adding applicant’s data to LIDO-LANG translator data base
Regardless of the test results, each applicant receives details concerning their sample translation via e-mail. You will receive the corrected translation alongside our mark scheme. If you disagree with our decision, you can appeal against it.
Stage 6: Providing access details to a personalised translator profile in the XTRF™ system
Applicants whose sample translation received positive feedback will be provided with personalised login and password to access their profile in the XTRF™ system. You will be asked to complete your profile with further information. The majority of data can be updated as and when required. Data that cannot be updated on-line include: translation rates, prices and settlement details.
